At InterGlobe, it has been our constant endeavour to evolve and incorporate the highest standards of corporate governance practises keeping in view the rapid business growth and increasing business complexities. The key focus area of corporate governance is to facilitate and assist InterGlobe group companies in deploying and maintaining a framework to manage key business risks & compliances & providing assurance to the stakeholders through regular reviews/audits to ensure stakeholder confidence. The corporate governance practice revolves around implementing best practices around Governance, Risks & Compliances.
Governance
The Governance practice is reflected via InterGlobe Code of Conduct (CoC) policy. Our values – Integrity, Customer Orientation and Future-Mindedness are reflected in our CoC. We also have established a reporting system wherein all stakeholders (internal & external) can freely express their concern via a whistle blowing system.
Risk & Compliances
InterGlobe’s risk & compliance philosophy is based on a self-assessment methodology focusing on maximum governance with minimum government and ensuring that there is transparency and accountability at all levels of risk management. We are focussed on continuous improvement wherein risk & compliance identification is carried out around the year based on input from people across the organisation through monthly risk & compliance meetings. The risk and compliance framework for the business is managed through a web-based governance system implemented across the cross-functional teams ensuring accountability and transparency. These governance practices effectively embedded in the organisation culture have led InterGlobe to be recognised by the Institute of Directors (IOD) by awarding Golden Peacock award for risk management for three consecutive years i.e. 2016, 2017 & 2018. In 2017 we were also recognised and awarded by CNBC for the best Risk management in hospitality.
