Interface is an electronic, one-way communication line between two computer systems. This line is called the Data Transmission (DT) Line, or the Interface Line.
Benefits
- Information can be transmitted over the DT line from Travelport Worldspan® to the interface accounting system via an Interface Message. This interface message is also referred to as a Travel Accounting Interface Record (TAIR). The interface message contains information from the PNR⁄the entry that was used to transmit the message.
- An agent may also refer to their interface system as a back office system, an accounting system, or a third-party system.
